How we work
As financial advisers we are able to advise on an extensive range of financial products from an extensive range of product providers. We use advanced computer software to research, compare and select the most suitable arrangements currently available. This process enables us to explore options and search for the most appropriate for our clients' individual needs.
See below for an outline of the way we prefer to work.
Although we can work on just one area of advice we prefer to provide a full financial review since experience tells us that this provides the better advice.
The process of working with Abacus Financial Options.
1. Our clients initially enjoy a review of their existing financial situation and we reach a realistic assessment of likely needs while combining this with to clients requests and concerns. For this clients have had to set aside some time to talk to us. (This consultation is without charge or obligation however please see "How we are paid" for more details of how we earn our money)
2 After the initial meeting we present a needs analysis based on the current situation taking into account any specific plans and/or targets and attitude to risk noted in the meeting. We will then advise on anything from a short term financial objective to a lifetime financial plan. The advice will also include what is already good about the existing plans and where we see they may be inadequate (or not covered at all).
3 Advice can lead to recommendations which we ensure are sensibly balanced in relation to current income, attitudes and prospects. At this point clients decide what they are happy with and we can agree to proceed to application, if appropriate. The final decision to proceed is with the client.
On many occasions cases we are able to make arrangements which clients would be unable to make or source for themselves. Our recommendations will be fully explained and costed so that clients know exactly what and why recommendations are made along with the certainty that there will be no unexpected costs to the them.
